This artist-driven project continues a creative relationship that began during John Gentry’s Ibiza period, when he collaborated with Ralph Armand Beck (DJ Taucher), Torsten Stenzel (York), and producer Udo Krumm, including a featured piano solo on the Mike Oldfield/York remix of Tubular Bells. Immersed in Ibiza’s electronic, Balearic, and cross-cultural music scene, John Gentry expanded a creative language that moved fluidly between composition, piano, atmosphere, song, and production.

It was during that chapter that John Gentry met pioneering Ibiza-based producer, composer, DJ, and label founder Lenny Ibizarre. Their first track and release together, You See Me, released in 2009, marked the beginning of a collaboration rooted in atmosphere, emotional immediacy, and the meeting point between artist and producer.

Lenny Ibizarre stands as one of Ibiza’s important visionary producers: an artist-producer whose work helped translate the island’s underground energy into a global sonic language. Emerging from the early 1990s trance and Balearic scenes, Ibizarre understood Ibiza not simply as a club destination, but as a cultural frequency: a place where rhythm, landscape, ritual, hedonism, healing, and memory could become sound. His move from high-intensity trance culture into ambient and chillout music was not a retreat from energy, but a transformation of it. He helped define the decompression after the dance floor: the sunrise, the sea, the body returning to itself, the emotional afterimage of the night.

His early album The Ambient Collection, signed by Warner Music UK, established him as a defining figure in Ibiza’s modern chillout identity. His multi-platinum Chilled Ibiza compilations reached more than 1.5 million sales in the UK, helping carry the island’s atmospheric sound to an international audience. Across twelve albums, residencies and performances connected to Café del Mar, Pacha, Khumaras, Privilege, and Amnesia, remix work, Ibizarre Records, the co-founding of the DJ Awards, and major media placements including Sony PlayStation’s Gran Turismo Sport, Ibizarre has built a career around sound as atmosphere, place, and identity.
